Thrifty Find
This is my Wm Rogers silver tray I got for $8 and gave new life after trying a method found on pinterest.
Boil enough water to immerse your piece. Add 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon salt for every two inches of water. Add aluminum foil to the bottom of containter, fill with boiling water, and immerse item. Let sit. The tanish magically transfered off the silver and onto the aluminum foil.
You will still need to polish the silver, but the black tanish is all gone, as you can see in the first photo. The second photo is the foil after having soaking with the tarnished tray! ~MAGIC~

This cute little fella goes together quickly and is so much fun to make. I got the pattern from Etsy www.woolhalla.com at a very reasonable price! Felt, yarn, embroidery tread, wire, and stuffing are all you need. Super fun! I even embriodered my newphes initials on the rump like a brand to personalize it!
